To meet the needs of individuals and the community, the Fogarty Foundation continues to support a number of individuals and organisations in their pursuit of excellence.

In 2008 – 2009 the Fogarty Foundation supported a diverse range of projects including support for an:

• Individual to represent Australia to attend the Harvard National Model United Nations Conference and the StatesMUN tour. This afforded an opportunity to further her education and ambition in Political Sciences and International Relations in the United States; and
• Indigenous athlete to continue her training for State representation in Netball.

A community project supported during this period provided an alternative to ‘schoolies week’ which involved a group of Year 12 students from Kalamunda, on completion of their studies, travelling to East Timor for a community project. The outcomes from this project were very positive from both an individual and community perspective.
