The Foundation has partnered with Murdoch University and Cecil Andrews Senior High School to develop a STEAM project aimed at fostering teachers’ development and supporting the implementation of an interdisciplinary STEAM curricula that prepares students for 21st century lives and careers.

Ongoing activities are designed to enable STEM, Arts, Humanities and PE teachers to identify common interdisciplinary themes for curriculum planning.  This innovative and collaborative approach ensures students have opportunities to develop, as socially responsible citizens and workers, the ‘general capabilities’ of the Australian Curriculum – literacy and numeracy, critical and creative thinking, personal and social capability, ethical awareness and intercultural understanding –  and that these are being embedded in the STEAM curricula.
