The PaCE Project – No Parent Left Behind
The Parent and Community Engagement Program (PaCE) supports Indigenous families and communities to reach-in to schools and education providers to develop partnerships with the aim of enhancing their children’s educational outcomes. PaCE focuses on the development and implementation of creative and innovative approaches to improve the educational outcomes of Indigenous school students through enhancing Indigenous parental engagement.
Over the next two years, a series of workshops will be aimed at Indigenous parents whose children attend fourteen (14) primary and secondary schools in the Fremantle education catchment area. Housed in the Edmund Rice Institute for Social Justice and in conjunction with the Mulgar Aboriginal Corporation and DEEWR, workshops for parents will focus on topics such as helping your child with adolesence, conflict resolution, maths, science, homework, reading, writing, information technology and managing money.
