Annie Fogarty has been announced as an inaugural Ambassador for Children and Young People in Western Australia.

On Thursday 25 October 2012, the Commissioner for Children and Young People announced the inaugural Ambassadors for Children and Young People.  The announcement took place during Children’s Week.

The appointment of Ambassadors recognises eminent Western Australians who have a significant role in the community and a commitment to supporting children and young people and their families.

The Ambassadors will work with the Commissioner to increase community awareness and understanding of factors which impact children and young people’s wellbeing.

The Ambassadors were presented with a lapel pin created by Phoenix, 15, from Swan View Senior High School.  The Commissioner invited Swan View SHS’s Year 11 and 12 Enterprise and Technology class to develop lapel pin designs that reflected the Ambassadors’ commitment to Western Australian children and young people.
