The Fogarty Foundation is proud to present the 2025 Fogarty Report, marking 25 years of commitment to educational excellence, leadership development, and community impact in Western Australia. Established in 2000 by Brett and Annie Fogarty, the Foundation has consistently championed initiatives that empower individuals and strengthen communities through education. The 2025 Report provides a comprehensive overview of the Foundation’s achievements over the past year, reflections on its journey since inception, and outlook for the year ahead.

A significant highlight in 2024 was the appointment of Elizabeth Knight as Chief Executive Officer. Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to the Foundation’s mission, and her leadership will guide the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact.

The 2025 Report highlights the Foundation’s work across its three key focus areas: Next Generation Leaders, Future Ready Students, and Excellence in Education. Through the Next Generation Leaders program, the Foundation continues to support high-achieving and high-potential young people, providing scholarships, leadership development opportunities, and pathways to professional success. The Future Ready Students strategy is designed to catalyse innovation within education systems, ensuring students are equipped with the critical skills and mindsets required for success in a rapidly changing world. Meanwhile, the Excellence in Education initiatives focus on investing in teachers, school leaders, and high-quality education programs, recognising that strong educational leadership is fundamental to achieving positive outcomes for all students.

Throughout its 25-year history, the Foundation has forged strong partnerships with educational institutions, government agencies, and community organisations. The 2025 Report showcases the successes of major initiatives, including the UWA Fogarty Scholarship Program and Fogarty EDvance, as well as the ongoing rollout of strategies to build a future-ready student population.

Another milestone in late 2024 was the launch of Educated, the Foundation’s first major annual event. Educated brings together leaders in education, research, and innovation, and will form an important part of the Foundation’s future engagement with the broader community.

As the Foundation celebrates this milestone year, it remains firmly focused on the future. True to its mission of Creating Opportunity, Realising Potential, the Fogarty Foundation continues to drive change through a ripple effect, ensuring that investments made today will lead to broad, lasting impact for generations to come.
