Exciting Partnership Announcement: Fogarty Foundation Teams Up with Binar X School Holiday Program
The Fogarty Foundation is pleased to announce our partnership with the Binar X School Holiday Program for 2025, aimed at igniting the passion for space exploration among Western Australian students. This collaboration reflects our commitment to fostering educational opportunities that inspire the next generation of innovators and STEM thinkers.
Through this partnership, the Fogarty Foundation will provide funding to subsidise places in the program and offer five scholarships specifically for WA students eager to delve into the exciting world of space science. The Binar X School Holiday Program is designed to be an immersive 10-day experience where participants will engage in hands-on learning and exploration.
Throughout the program, students will be guided in the design, construction, and launching of their very own space projects, all within personalised model rockets equipped with 3D-printed payload bays. This exciting experience not only enables students to watch their designs take flight but also nurtures vital skills in problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork—capabilities that will benefit them long after the program ends.
Moreover, participants will have access to Curtin University’s Space Environment Testing Facilities and real space hardware, providing them with valuable insights into the workings of the aerospace industry. This exposure will inspire students to think critically about scientific concepts and explore potential career paths in STEM fields.
